BJ74 clutch vacuum booster

Post by Jungle »

About 6 months ago the cruiser wouldn't turn off. We eventually located the culprit which was a leaking clutch vacuum booster. I thought my problems were over until I tried to buy one. They don't seem to carry much at Toyota these days. The thing that is special about this booster is its mounted inside the fire wall above the pedal box. Not in the engine bay like every other 13BT cruiser out there. So if anyone has one of these clutch vacuum boosters lying around, I'd love to buy it.

why cant you just rerout the vacuum pipe work and fit a std unit instead of the exotic unit that youve got there, vacuum is vacuum after all, dont matter where it comes from

vacuum booster is nice cause it makes the peddle super soft but the clutch will still work fine with a non boosted master cylinder
