On special a new set of steelies are 400 ish , that's 15x10 -44 offset though,

Yeah unfortunately i think that would mean the rim would still be in the way of the caliper.

Theres probably heaps of 80s out there and other vehicles with the same caliper grind.
I even saw a vehicle at work the other day with both a caliper grind and the alloys had been ground a bit
Save your pennies for other mods and just drive it as is. Sounds like you already have 35s so use them and spend the money elsewhere

your 15x8's will be fine with 25mm spacers... thats the easiest option if you still want to run 15's , or just run 16's
