Is it hard to turbo the td42 motor?

about as hard as turbo charging a RB....actually, it's probably easier. dont have to upgrade injectors or tune computers and afm's

just bolt the hard ware up, install a EGT gauge so ya know what the temps are then adjust the fuel to suit

nope if you have time and money , pull one exhaust off bolt another on bolt turbo on hook up oil feed , in and out , air cleaner to turbo pipe to intake exhaust dump system , turn fuel up a bit or a fit boost compensator , exhaust gas temp gauge boost gauge , done

there is over half a dozen TD42 exhaust manifolds on trade me at the mo, there is plenty of experience turboing these motors.
oil feed and return are considerations.

sweet as where do i get oil feed from and where can i run return to.

pressure feed between left hand engine mount where it bolts to the block , return weld socket to the sump for fast return , otherwise get oil feed off vacuum pump and tap in the oil return there

I did mine about 1 yr ago, got a guy in Ak to do it as I didn't have the time myself and hadn't played much with diesels.
But looking at whats done for basic setup its not too hard.
mines the scarles running 10psi, nothing startling but big diff over the na, esp when your running 35's
Basically what the others said, would add
if tapping into eng block for oil feed you need to flush and dump oil as min.
Exhaust needs modding, appears most dump the mufflers.
about 2k will get you the bits, I spent 3.5k for someone to do whole thing.

Cheers mate I've already got the bits has turbo etc lying around. Just bought me a manifold .
