D21 2.7td rough idling

Hi guys My Terrano idles rough when she is cold Not much better when it's warm if I'm honest. Any ideas or help is appreciated

when was the last time the fuel filter was changed.

what rpm is it idling at? it'll get rough if too low rpms (tacho is not always bang on)

Not sure when filter was changed. I don't think it's ever been off road I'll try that first. Other people have suggested removing egr ??? Valve etc. it idles at about 800 in drive
