Hi, just wondering what the advantages/advantages of running 15x7 or 15x8 rims. i am currently running 31x10.5/15 on 15x7 and wondering
if there is any advantage of upgrading to 15x8. what is everyone running on there sj's ? also what are poeple using for flares ?

15x8 would be a downgrade with 31's as they won't hold the bead as well at low pressures. I have used reinforced rubber sheet cut into strips for flares, works well and a lot cheaper than the flash moulded ones from repco and won't try and rip off your guards like bunnings garden edging does when it gets hit.

even with tubes in the tyres ? where abouts did you get that rubber from ?

I got it from Para Rubber their website says there is a couple of stores in Auckland. Tubes will help but I have run 31's on 8" rims with tubes before and it isn't hard to knock a bead off although I did run quite low pressures (5-8psi)
