Dundabergs Y60 Shorty!

Post by Dundaberg »

This is my ongoing project for the last year. Lightly modded nothing insane but very useable. Has 2 inch coils and 1 inch body lift. 33" Buckshots. Front and rear bar work. Snorkel. Turbo conversion. Truck goes well, looking at a winch in future and some comms gear.

Yeah pre turbo, where the red tape is. Rocker cover breather. Will be getting some silicon hose on there when i get it back from getting its rebuild. Oh yeah trucks in at the local Nissan workshop getting new big ends, rings and pre combustion chambers (a few were cracked) and a head skim etc. Hoping to have it back next week hopfully.

Also, since have 2" lift coils, I will need to swap out my shocks for some longer ones. Whats peoples thoughts on what length shocks to run on which end?

Wee update on the Safari. All Is well, WAIC install was a fail as the water pump was shagged, so I have just kept the hot pipe at the moment. Have also goten rid of the pod filter and fitted an air box out pf a digger. It has 3" inlet and outlet, so its going to flow bloody well and filters are actually cheaper then a genuine nissan that would have gone into it. Today i tacked up a 4" exhaust pipe smorkel for it. This should flow great and keep the water gremlens out! Just need a 90 degree silicon reducer and shell be good to go!
