i'm no expert on nissan diffs yet, but i think you are asking if you can squeeze a 9.25" diff centre into a R200(8") housing???
I'm going to say… NO!
but i can supply an ARB air locker for your front diff.

you want a r200 lsd head from a 300zx, 180sx, silvia or skylines and need to ensure you have the knowledge to make it work.

talk to Lax' or atleast read his thread on toughening up the WD21 front end.

I was lucky enough to have a cusco lsd which doesn't require the abnormal shafts to engage the common viscous lsd's.
But in saying that, It's a pig to drive some times, will rip the wheel out of your hands as it starts to work, and god forbid it gets air whilst unloaded then lands again. absoulutley destroys cv's If you are reckless

atleast with an air locker you know when it is or isn't engaged, not guessing when it is going to engage.

the H233b rear LSD fits the front of a patrol, not the front of a WD/D/R chassi.

Yeah as crash says u want the clutch type lsd from a 300zx turbo. They are a performance lsd, much different to a toyota lsd. You can get it to stay locked all the time even when lifting a wheel ie no resistance.

Its a 4 pinion unit, very strong for up to a 36 inch tire.

Check out my thread for info on the mods to put it into a Wd21 front, main thing is the thrust block for the.short side axle shaft

Its pretty much a front locker w a 40. 60 power split so you can still steer.

Cheers fellaz. May look at tightening up new/old lsd and swapping out current lsd. Still need to put in 2wd steering mod and a few other things! The list keeps growing. Will let you know in time Andy about lsd. Cheers again

Also the Lsd out of a D21 shape 4cyl Navara should fit. I went down the LSD front diff route on a truck and wouldn't again as by the time you get them biting well enough to aid traction in mud your steering has almost gone (even 2wd on the road with hubs in you will sledge wide wen turning).

Question is....Why have your hubs in on a hard surface?

Sometimes I am to lazy to take my hubs out if I am only driving a couple of kms on the seal then heading back off road again okay- point was you can either have a LSD that doesn't really do anything or one that gives you good traction but a big turning circle whenever the front diff is engaged.. Auto lockers are a better bet if you are after cheap traction or Air lockers if you have deeper pockets

Charo yours is an MK Patrol aye?
So factory 2-pinion C200 front diff... has a reputation for wallowing out the centre pin and blowing up under heavy use (vis-a-vis Land Rover diff)

Good thing about the LSD mod is the centre is a 4-pin unit so there is a remarkable strength upgrade. Doesn't seem as brutal on CV joints as an auto unlocker too.

Personally I havent had any problems with steering unless at reaalllly low tire pressure.
Even then, like with a spool or welded diff, there are techniques to 'drive around' the heavy steering. Throttle/clutch techniques etc.

Was an MK patrol and agree the 2 extra spider gears is an added bonus of the LSD.

I originally went down LSD route as it was slightly cheaper and seemed like it would be easier on the drive train - but it did annoy me watching only one wheel spin when stuck after I had gone to the trouble of sourcing/purchasing and fitting a LSD to the front end. So much so that I pulled it out got it bitting properly only to put it back in again and turn my truck into a sledging pig. Then pulled out LSD (again) to replace with a Lokka, which didn't cost much more and did what I wanted with less of a compromise to my steering - never broke a CV and I used tyre chains and large aggressive tyres.
