no mention on how many watts these 1280 units are on the Oricom website.
Are they are good brand?

I havnt used them, but would be happy to. Seem pretty good value.

if they're 1/2 or 1/4 watt there only good for talking line of sight try and get something at least 2-5 watts to make them worthwhile :D

they are 1 watt apparently.
1996 vzn185 surf, TRD supercharger, GQ SAS, 37s, 3" lift, 2 lockers, double cabbed + more happening.

UHF so prs, even though called a CB they operate on frequency 476.425-477.400 MHz so not an AM CB.

Don't waste ya time with a hand held ... get a 5watt vehicle mounted radio.

Yes you get more coverage, but over $300 for vehicle mounted one compared to this for someone on a budget is great value, I have two handhelds in my truck as well the base unit, great for recovery or for someone who is joining for the day and wants to keep up with the banter, you can loan them one.. My hand helds are fine for about 1km on the go.
