brake light won't go out

Post by truckingood »

So I've just finished sas job on my surf, I'll get some pics up when I work out how! Any way while I was at it I put new brakes all round on her disks pads shoes drums and a full fluid flush. Now the dash brake light won't go off and yes I did let the hand brake off 3x
Tried pushing the hand brake down in off position couple times but didn't work, do they have sensors at the wheels 94 kzn130

Cheers luke

Vacuum sensor, fluid level sensor and handbrake switch all bring the same light on. Start with fluid level- it may have jammed while bleeding brakes.

Yeah check the fluid level sensor. Does same on mine every time I change the brake fluid.

With regards to the 4WD light. If you aren't using the plugs, then bridge them. There are two in total - one on the transfer case and one on the diff. For normal (original) operation, both of these position switches need to be made in order for the 4WD light to come on. If you have the original transfer case, then just bridge the plug for the diff.
