Woodhill opening weekend

Post by minimun »

Hi team,

I've been planning on going Woodhill for the opening on saturday for a days fun. My mate and his truck were to come with me but it seems they can't anymore. Are there any members that are heading up there and could use another pair of hands. I'd hate to miss it.

Cheers.

how hard are the tracks there? would a standard 4wd get round most of it or do you need big lift/tyres/winch, never been there but go to auckland a fair bit, keen to check it out.

As hard as you want it to be, not sure how much has changed over summer but there is bypasses around most of the harder bits on the easy tracks so still a fair bit of track suited to standard trucks. Your Terrano will be fine just make sure you have a strop and suitable tow points in case you get stuck. May be going there in the near future, was going to this weekend but had a local offer instead.

You could drive around all day without getting stuck by keeping within the limits. I wouldn't be nervous about going on my own next time, I just wont hit the big hole on my on my own.

Awesome day and a great way to spend a day off work

It won't be open as it is only opening every 2nd weekend this year so next weekend it opens will be 13th/14th.
