16x10" 6x114.3 4x4 steel wheels - WHERE DO I FIND THESE?!?

Post by bronx89 »

Hey guys

So, have a new Navara on the way (2014, 4wd ST). Wanting to chuck some big muddies on it like my current Surf (15x10" 33x12.5") but I've just found out since 2005 the Navara's do an odd-ball stud pattern (typical) of 6x114.3 not the usual 6x137.9 (or 139.7? Can't remember now!)

The 15's won't fit around the brakes apparently so I have to go 16x10", which is fine, but I can't find any of the black steelies in that size that have my stud pattern

Does anyone know if they are available, and where from?

Otherwise I'm going to have to look at re-drilling (not really too keen), or spacer adapters to take it to the right stud pattern (not really too keen either)

Any help much appreciated :)

Cheers

Hey jeff, not sure what you're meaning?? The ST-X Navara had what?

I'm after somewhere that sells 16x10 black steel 4x4 wheels but in the 6x114.3 stud pattern

Oh - that'd be sweet then if the ST-X has 6x114.3 and the ST has 6x137.9

Is anyone able to confirm this?

I've just called Nissan and although they couldn't tell me what the stud pattern(s) is/are, they said that the ST and ST-X 2014 Navara have the same ones.. you can take a wheel off one and fit it on the other

Conflicting information coming from all corners!

All the d40s so stx rx st have same pattern, you can buy adaptor spacers to make it to the older d22/21 stud size, have seen pic from aussie of after market steelies on d40s

The first I heard of it was since 2005 all Navara's went to an odd-ball stud pattern of 6x114.3

The guy you know, what years are his ST and STX?

that's a yank pattern, Ford/hennessey Raptor, Dodge viper/durango/Dakota,Toyota tundra/tacoma all run that pattern, Pretty much all japanese car makers that sell trucks in the continental north america ........something to do with US saftey standards for vehicle's that fall into certain parameters calculated on wieght/power/ towing etc.

D40 (badged a frontier /xterra and also as a xtra cab branded suzuki) was designed for left hand drive market primarily, Oceania other smaller markets second. hence the stud pattern.

Hey, located in Auckland. Oh ok hadn't thought of that. Flip centers; is that removing the centers and welding new one in? Anywhere you know of in Auckland that does this? Cheers!

Cheers bud have emailed the steel surgeon will await his response

Checked out the tardme listing - can source way cheaper by importing them but with the smaller center bore does that matter if the wheel I'm wanting to use has a 110mm bore hole?? Also the thickness will have to match the length of the standard studs in order for them not to protrude and stop the wheel from sitting flush when bolting on to the spacer?

More or less yes, sometimes its the same one just flipped for offset changes, but removed then welded in again.

No, it doesn't.

They are wheel adapters, not 'spacers' so can be certified.
Been there done that with 30mm.

new rules first hit on google for the LVVTA ..

a vehicle fitted with any wheel spacers or adaptors needs LVV certification. The maximum thickness allowed is 20mm ...

edited to help avoid confusion.

Adapters 27mm max (with exceptions allowing for larger in some circumstances)

LOL as I sit here and read this thread I cannot believe nobody has questioned the fit of these massive wheels to the Navara.

Most 10" wide wheels are -44 offset and placing these on a factory Navara without a massive lift will incur huge steering issues as you will find you can hardly turn the wheel before they rub quicker than a 12 year old schoolboy from the 80s perving at his poster of Sam Fox ;-)

Not to mention the fact that you'll be going through wheel bearings and rack ends quicker than a two dollar hooker.

Xterra's completely different. They are based on the D22 Navara/Frontier chassis. They're essentially all the same chassis.

Have had offroad trucks before so the lift is obvious, it's the wheel stud pattern issues I'm wanting information on

I'm getting a 3" suspension lift in the Navara

Correct the 10" wheels will have a -44 offset, same as on my Surf at the moment

Might wait for the Navara to arrive then go fit up some adapters/spacers and 16x10's and see what thickness I need to clear the studs for the wheels

Man what a mission to get the 4x4 steel wheels onto a damn Navara!
