I have a MCC bar on the front of my LN106 solid axle Hilux.
With these bars the winch bolts up "feet forward", there is a small lip at the bottom of the front of the bar, I assume it is there to add strength.
I am thinking about mounting an electric winch, around 9500lbs, Runva, Mudstuck etc
Does anyone know the dimensions of a 9500lbs winch and whether there is enough room to slide the winch into place, and slide it back out for servicing or do I need to remove the bar to fit the winch?
Winch dimensions
Re: Winch dimensions
I would suspect you'll need to remove the bar.
Dont follow me. i'll get stuck and need a tow..
Re: Winch dimensions
Have a look at a runva website, it shows the dimensions for the individual winches. Pretty sure the Warn site does as well and imagine the likes of superwinch would too.

Re: Winch dimensions
Winch dimensions are with the free spool lever opposite the winch feet.
On an MCC bar the feet sit forward, the free spool lever is moved 90 degrees to still be onto, does anyone know what the dimensions change to when this is done?
What I am asking is on these winches is the width the same as the height when the free spool lever is excluded from the measurement.

Re: Winch dimensions
Yes.
I have my winch reasonably open. I want easy access to everything including cabling.
Does expose it slightly more to possible damage but its a tradeoff.
