I've had this a few weeks, drove from Adelaide to Darwin then back to Katherine. Was going well. 3500+ Ks. Has done 189,000, supposedly.
3 days no use = flat battery...as expected, when someone sells/buys usually need a new battery.
Anyway, it had 1 start in it, cranked over, did not start then was flat.
Connected faithful D21, via jumper leads, (with surge protection) let it charge a bit, D21 still running, tried to start this.....cranked a while.....no start. Even after glowing several times before trying. Damn.
Hooked up Batt charger with Battery disconnected, several hours....cranked fine, no start.
Cannot find any blown fuses, ie drivers knee fuse box or engine comp.
Cracked fuel line at filter outlet, plenty of fuel. (there)
Removed Glow busbar (and intercooler). 3 @ 1.1 ohms, (my meter could be out slightly either way) & 1 @ "open" - surely 3 would be enough ???? Cleaned up all connections and re-assembled.
AND, 12.57v (batt voltage) at the busbar wire, when ignition glow light on.
Should this stay on for a time after start? Half voltage ? ( but it not starting

I have not yet checked for voltage at the Injector pump for the fuel shut off....Is this easy on one of these? or part of the bigger loom?
Where is the ECU? or what ever it is called in these? ( there is no ECU fuse so I am thinking it has some other name)
Is there some magic "reset" after low battery voltage?
I do not see any unburnt fuel vapour out the exhausts......no fuel???
"Thing" is now on charger over night....few beers and a new day, maybe it will fix itself

Had a lot of plans for this thing, now I don't trust it.....
Please help convince me to go with technology....
My old '91 is well maintained (even though worn out) $6000 would have gone a long way to make it right
