Funnily enough I was discussing these with Mike on Sunday. We have an issue with the Prado where by the springs fall out as we have too much travel .... mwahaha...

Im just retaining the springs on the back, thats what all the rock crawler guys do, none of that crappy dislocating spring system. The x-eng one does look good, but ill stick to what I have for the moment

cable ties hold my rear springs in lol but they keep breaking so im going to weld them in :twisted: :roll:

DONT weld the springs, make a retainer. And your spring dislocates, you want a retainer at the top as well as the bottom

Yes we used retainers top and bottom, welding bad.. cert man would not be happy!

i would have said that they are a cheap mod.. pity i dont have coils..

so they about 400 plus freight a pair.. well that gets you 2 simex tyres..

Doesnt look to hard to make actually. Just need to find the right springs :wink:

Could be something for the hybrid at a later stage 8)
