Snorkel Idea's

Post by kbushnz »

Hi All..... I am getting close to doing a new snorkel setup in my Playdoh.
I have sold off the old one which was on the drivers side.
Looking at making one but coming out the passenger's side. Help with view and also induction noise.
Rather than have it on the outside of the guard as I want to have some nice fitting exo cage, I was thinking about putting it inside the guard and bring it out near the windscreen....And up the A pillar...
I am curious as to what solutions people have done and examples.....
Note this will be a street legal truck....

Thanks in advance....
Cheers Calvin

could you build it into exo? so the A pillar exo bar is the snorkel.

Nice idea but 3 inch dia exo cage bar would stick out a bit and look naf compared to other side....
But I like your thinking....Probably will tuck it next to bar work....

Best looking and functional snorkel like you discribe would be rokhounds mutt rebuild on here. He did an in depth writeup on his build thread on here.

It's not finished, nor is it the same as yours could be, but might help.

Can get a couple more photos later if you like.

My last truck had a similar snorkel.

Have to look close to realise there is even a snorkel there.

can be same size both sides. that is a pretty basic exo but you could add more to it.

seen others but can't find photos, roger McKay had a cage with snorkel A pillar bars.

Shit that's an old pick Mudsurf. Looks like it's still on Hilux axles there. That's Klem's truck, T-lexus (or something) on here. They went away from it but I can't remember why.
