Any interest in getting this trip back on track? We are going away for a couple of weeks on the weekend of the 17th Feb, so perhaps we could do it on 11 Feb (Sun)? The weekend before that is the 7's, so that's out. We haven't been there yet, so really keen to get out for a look and a play.
I have just checked the http://www.rallywoods.co.nz site calendar and that weekend appears to be clear.
If no-one else is already organising it I can arrange it if there are numbers.

bashed sills defitently (if i did them bad on the zook your doomed in the whale) doors, panels everthing and especially your roof in there on the whale not to mention scratches but in saying that you wont do too much damage if you opt out of some of the more hardcore tracks and bogs etc
but you will still scratch it up
but you will still scratch it up

to have a good time up there you need to be prepared to do damage... but it soooo much fun doing it!

you may be able to avoid dents, but i afraid scratches are a probable, almost definate on a lwb high top whale....

Hey Mr O, I'm sure that to encourage everyone and let everyone enjoy the sport, Jerry's option would be good. A few scratches don't worry us (ie: our first "Shiney" trip that ended up going through gorse tracks that scratched the shit out of ours!), and we a realistic that even though ours is a "shiney", that things will happen and damage will occur. We would have just as much fun coming along, doing what we think our vehicle can handle, then watching everyone else with purpose built vehicles wreck theirs!!
I guess as we get more money etc we will gradually build up things on the whale so we can do harder stuff. ONe day we will buy something new to tow our boat, so the whale can be "released" into the wild !!1
Just a thought anyway. We don't mind cosmetic damage, and anything that is going to incur major damage, we just wouldn't do, so it may work?

Handbrake wrote:AWESOME!!! Well we would never go anywhere and expect no stratches and minor damage anyway, it is just the major damage we have to avoid......as long as we can still tow our boat, ie: the wheels still turn and the tow bar is still attached, we can work around a few dings and dents!
Well the attached towbar bit might be a bit iffy. But thats ok we know a guy who can fix them
