hey guys I bought a Duke 9000 pound winch off trademe and finally got to use it today
The thing is bloody awesome, pulled out my mates surf multiple times easily and also managed to get out a swb safari aswell.
If anyones looking at them id have to say its great value

give it a few outings first before rating them, all winches are good when they are new, but when they are 1 to 2 years old and draggin 2 to 2.5 ton trucks through 4 foot deep mud for 30 meters or so time after time, that's when ya know they are good.
from memory the body is a copy of the warn, don't know about internals, did you ask if they are rebuildable? eg the ridge rider supercheap ones maybe cheap, might break or might not, but at least you can by all the replacement parts for em.
the 9500 on that truck above is going on 3 years old now still going strong, not bad for 400 dollars.
