Strange water leak 91 Terrano 2.7 turbo diesel.

G'day all,

Im wondering if someone can help - I have a strange water leak coming out from under/beside the Turbo unit somewhere. Only leaks when the car is going and then it really goes for it. One thing I was just wondering about is if there is a frost plug down there somewhere that might have gone. Its in a terrible spot to even get a look at!!

Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.

IM not sure how close to the turbo you say its coming from, but some turbos are water cooled. It could be from the fiting to the turbo

If its from the block, it is possible that yes there is a frist plug there, or in the head.

If running coolant, its very unlikely a frost plug has rusted out though.

Look for a lose fitting,

Thanks for the help - managed to find a water inlet into the turbo underneath it thats very hard to get at but has clips on it - I will tighten these and see what happens.
