Nissan Safari SWB 1989

Just thought to put this up here whilst vehicle based in Auckland. Will be relocated to Coromandel next week
Was going to sell at a later date but have just got something else

Its actually registered as Ford Maverick but apart from the ford badge on back door its a Nissan.

1989 SWB , TD42 Diesel, Manual.
Has factory PTO , no winch (just lever and transfer transfer case drive fitted)
Factory rear diff lock in good working condition.
Gearbox and 4wd work good.
Actually both diffs were overhauled about 20k km ago and done very little off road.
2'' lift , EFS springs and Oldman emu shocks. Castor correction bushes.
Running on 31" AT at present , Cheviot Alloys.
24 volt.
Was made up from best bits from 2 vehicles so speedo say about 550km , however running gear about 270k.

Body a little rough and will need a TLC , rust in firewall in corners by bonnet hinges and sills. Surprisingly good around rear windows which is solid one piece glass.
Just had 6months reg , RUC up to date , WOF expires Nov 15. So she is a driver , running gear in good condition so you have option of fixing for next wof or using for parts.

Yeh I know photos ideal , but as I am presently on ship until next Tuesday will have to wait .Keen for a quick easy deal as I have two vehicles to drive home then

Presently fitted with solid bullbar and 12000 Runva winch not included in sale , may negotiate.

Will let it go for $3000 without winch , bargain price for quick sale. Worth way more in parts alone.

Yep thats it plus a few of the old LWB too , Awesome mate , much appreciated.
I have just been out and taken a few phone/flash photos , best I can do for now. Got one of the worst rust , about a 1cm hole . If someone with the skills to fix a few spots I can see no reason why you won't have a good reliable truck for years to come .
Will see how I go posting or can email .

I should add , once I get home to Coro next week I may even consider hitching a ride or ferry trip back up to Auck and taking her home for a spare. Bit too good for that but swapping the rear diff and maybe spring/shocks could be an option for me

UPDATE
The xxxx I was buying my new truck from has sold to someone else for a little bit more.

So will be hanging onto old faithful for now , but are on the lookout for another Safari or cruiser in SWB , maybe even a hilux double cab.
If it's another safari I may even hang onto this as a parts/project assist truck.

Will update when the time comes . Feel free to contact and view if it suits for future reference. Probably won't be far away.

Well that didn't take me long , managed to secure a hilux I have had my eye on for a while.

So Safari definitely for sale . Hilux being 12volt and already has a winch and bar . Therefore can do a on deal with winch and bulbar on safari or sell either separate.
Winch is 24V Runva , 12000lb , cable and wireless remote. Not alot of use , cable in good condition.
Bull bar , they don't come more solid than this , Steel .Bar is painted matt black now so looks better.

So all up , Truck as it is with 6 months reg ,3 months left on w.o.f , RUC up to date. Winch and bull bar. $3700
At that price I will throw in a Safari snorkel , just the outer section so you need the internal plumbing.Also spare new air filter and 2 fuel filters.

Reminder it has EFS/OME 2 " lift kit, Factory diff lock in excellent working condition.

Will get some photos soon and put on trade me .

Should add vehicle located in Coromandel now , could help with delivary.

Well that didn't take long , going to a good home where it going to be used and hopefully abused. Couldn't bring myself to part old faithful out.
