Suziki G13BA carburetor problems

Post by Wobbigong »

Afternoon everyone.
I have a Suzuki Sierra with a G13BA engine. The carbi choke is controlled by the coolant but the intake for the carbi is hooked into the heater hose. I have to turn the heater on to completely switch off the choke. Can anyone tell me where the inlet for the choke control should be connected to???

normally its connected in/out of the intake manifold/ throttle body . the return can sometimes be connected to the heater return hose .

The in and out for the manifold heat is through the head. Not sure about the choke as mine doesn't have the original Carb but I don't think there's any water ports between the 2. I suspect something not hooked up right if the choke is only heating up if the heater valve is open, then its connected to the heater core return. If its just connected with some sort of T piece try swapping it to the other heater hose which should be the hot supply.
That's my 2c, mine has no heater and sidedraught conversion so can't comment how its meant to be hooked up

Hi everyone,
Thank you for your replies and I will check it all out and let you know how I go. Unfortunately I am overseas in Kenya (working) at the moment so it may be a while or, I might get the Suzi taken to my mechanic with this info so he can check it out for me. Once again, many thanks for the replies and it is greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Allen
