185 SAS steering damper?

Post by mudsurfv6 »

185 supercharged 3.4 V6 surf, prado diff housing, surf hubs, front Lokka, 70 series tie rod & drag link, 80 series steering box, 2" suspension lift, 130 rear panhard cut down, 35s.

use steering damper off what? 70 prado? 70 lc? leaf hilux? ??? got to add mount to diff.

what breed steering damper are people using? was thinking of using Tough Dog adjustable or RTC.

if your using a LC70 tierod the damper will bolt straight into the drivers side balljoint you'll only have to add a mount to the chassis if there isn't already one there. Any heavy duty damper should suit your 35" tyres try and avoid the lighter constructed dampers, I've used efs extreme ones before and liked them they are heavy duty, long lasting and good at burning a big hole in your pocket but still good value for what you get :D

plus got the prado diff housing off a mate and already had hilux diffs sitting here for the rest. cheapest option.
