R50 Terrano Strut Spacers

Hi Guys. Has anyone out there fitted strut spacers to a R50? If so how did they work out? How much lift did you achieve? I have seen all sorts of stuff out of the States about 1.5 inch spacers giving 2 inches of lift with no issues on or off road with cv joints. I made 1.5 inch spacers for mine that looked good but under full extension the joints would bind quite badly. I contacted a man in the states from 4x4 design and told him about my problem. He could not understand that i was having problems. He told me that he had sold about a dozen spacers to nz clients and no bad feed back. So i would love to hear from anyone out there with any experience or thoughts. Thanks guys
