100 series rims; size and offset

Post by a80crewza »

Hi,

I'm wanting to change the rims to something a little nicer, but finding it hard to track down what will fit these trucks. I know they are 16x8 and +60 offset (which seems to be the problem). Has anyone changed their rims on their 100, to aftermarket ones with i bit less offset (say +30)? I also want to chuck some 285s on as well. Anyone have any experience with this?

Cheers.

Don't know this will help you but it's a very good site to get your head around different comparisons

Is your truck lifted? Any issues with rubbing? Whats the brand of them and do you have a pic with them on

My truck standard height sometimes lower than standard depending on what work gear I load it with.
No issues with rubbing at all even off road.
Wheels are oz racing they used them on the Paris Dakar 100series,don't make them anymore so only chance of getting set is second hand
I'll upload pic for you soon.
It's not just offset with these trucks you also need caliper clearance because there so big.
Which is why you'll notice most after market rims for 100series are big diameter blingy looking things :o

Cheers, yeah not keen on big blingy ones.. would like to stick to 16" or maybe 17" and chuck some 285/305s on, also lift it 1-2". They are damn hard to find some with the right offset..

Thanks Lchundy, gives me an idea of offset to look for anyway, might have to buy a rim and get it customized.
