Buying an 80 series. Tools required?

Gidday guys,
Looking at a 1992 4.2 turbo diesel 80 series landcruiser manual, factory lockers, 188000kms. I am flying from the SI to the NI to view.
My question is which tools, socket sizes will I need to check the basic condition of the vehicle? Eg. What size are the diff and gearbox/transfer case filler plugs? 17mm? I can't take all my tools so any ideas would be awesome. And any info on what to look for specifically on these trucks would be greatly appreciated!!

Did my diffs this morning. 24mm

an engine oil sample(to have analyzed) to check the amount of bottom end bearing wear, if it is a 12 valve engine.

Check all the diff locks. Electric motors cease up.
Put c.d in and on full lock you will fell it bind up.
On axle. jack up a wheel to check.
Generally rust isnt to much of an issue. Check all obvious areas.
Big end bearings. They should be replaced unless theres o.e recepts to say otherwise
Have heard of many where the electric door window motors fail. Pay to check
At 188k its hardly been used. Check for speedo tampering

Awesome cheers guys. Has anyone heard of getting the big end bearing being replaced by Toyota free of charge if it hasn't been done? I've read a few forums on this.

Toyota NZ wouldn't even do them if you were 4000km over the warranty let alone doing them 20 years later, if the trucks still running after 20 years the bearing have either been done or didn't need doing

Toyota AUS were a bit more accommodating doing the bearings past the warranty but not NZ

Awesome cheers guys. One other question, this cruiser has the wing mirrors on the bonnet it is possible to rewire aftermarket mirrors for the doors? Cheers.

You can buy generic door mirrors for 80s on ebay electric or base model manual ones.
You could probably find a wrecked 80.and rip electric mirror loom out for easier wiring.
Nice easy install fitting manual mirrors thou.
