Ki ora car tower

Post by Sandgroper »

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum, thought best to intro myself.

I've recently bought a 80 series coozer, it's jacked up on 35STT's a 1" inch body lift and 3" suspension lift. It has a Ct26 Murch tampered turbo, inter cooled with a 3" pipe. It has a bull, rock sliders, front and rear factory diff lockers. 4.2l 24v manual, yeeha. Getting a boner just talking about it.

I have owned a few other Toyotas previously and love the reliability and toughness I had a 74 SWB rag top with a 327 small block and have had a kz1 hilux for 15 years.

But neither compare to where I've been in the 80 series. Loving it.

Needed something with a it more space and grunt for the ever growing family and to tow camper trailer on holidays.

I joined for some inside oil from the locals and to Sussex technical tips parts mods etc.

Sounds like it's got all the right mods
24v manual f&r lockers,nice!
If you take it off road a bit a winch bar and winch would be a good addition
Apart from that your pretty sorted.
Just stay on top of maintenance

I'm pretty happy with it.

The hard core guys I know think I did pretty well.

It's certed for all the work and the bloke who I bought it off to his credit done a tidy job of the work. He had had it for a number of years and was a bit cut up when we drove away.

I was looking at trying to find a tidy 4.2 24v manual with a turbo and prepared to spend another 10k to build a mean wagon, so i think from that perspective it's worked out well. I got the roof tent etc in the deal.
