Hi there everyone.
I have recently installed a boost gauge in my 1998 Hilux Surf Limited due to the fact I have felt a loss of power. I notice the boost gauge will shoot up to 15psi full boost, then drop back to 11psi and flatten out. Is this a sign of over boost?
1KZTE Overboost?
Re: 1KZTE Overboost?
To add to that, I just did a fault code check, and it has come up with a clashing check light and O/D light.

if they are both on then you most likley have a fualt with the engine and the trans...in this case could be the TPS since both the engine and the trans use it.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.

Speedo is still working, the fault code flashing was between engine check and O/D Light, one goes on the other goes off, very fast (0.25 seconds)

Where do you live Harvey? I'm in Taupo with a Techstream to pull and clear all those codes and have a look at the sensor values real time.
Do a google search and you'll find out how to read your engine codes by joining up the diagnostic connectors in your engine bay.
