Safari windscreen wipers won't stop

Post by mudtroll »

My wipers won't turn off, as soon as the ignition is on they start, no intermittent but still has 2 speeds, also washer won't work.
Definitely not the motor, have a spare.
Anybody had a similar problem & can point me in the right direction before I start trying to trace the fault?

from memory it may be an earth, as aposed to a jammed contact in the switch or dirty contacts, just that you mention intermitent wont work at all.

I've pulled the switch off, feels a bit rough. Will get another one & try that, hopefully it's that easy.

Not the switch, turned out to be the wiper Amp, located with the relays under the bonnet, washers still not working, will sort that tomorrow
