milky oil in escudo sump

Post by drewz1 »

Hi guys just pulled the sump of my 1990 escudo g16a and it had a little bit of milky looking oil in the front by dipstick and at the back on right hand side how do i tell if its buggered ?? Could it just be because its been sitting for over 6 months not being used and sitting outside in palmys weather??

compression test i spose, if they come up trumps it may be just 6 months of condesation or water in the breather pipe filler cap etc.

but generally if it's been sitting you'd have oil on water, not mixed so i say it was running with a leak.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.

Crash, I've done a compression test on a vehicle with a cracked block and it was within specs but a leakdown test showed a leak into the cooling system.

Stick it back together and if it uses coolant do a compression and leakdown test.
