unlocking prado diff lock no power

Post by mudsurfv6 »

I have the kzj78 prado electric locker in the rear 90 prado diff I'm putting under my 185 surf. is there a way I can unlock it and keep it unlocked without power? and hopefully not pulling it out. will get wired up but will need to be able to drive it before that's done.

You can cycle it with a battery and some wires...
Normally has limit switches use but you can hook it straight up and listen for the motor to start straining and stop....
Note: It doesn't have power on it all the time when locked or unlocked..... So you can cycle it unlocked and remove the wires.
Hopefully you have gotten it already unklocked so no issues just throwing it in with no wiring.
