Not sure were we actually were started on the grey river I think near Ikamatau... but check out the photos, unreal scenery

that sounds like it might be it... step we acent near the end, but as we didnt know were we were and were the track was leading us we returned throu the caves.
anyone know how much further we would have gone for?

we were in there today.nice drive .well worth the $10 to the farmer per vehicle. we at top 10 motor camp greymouth and are going to do it all again tomorrow as some of the group went shopping but after seeing the photos are keen to go in

is that the farmer at the southern end? as we came in via the river no farm land... whats the rd like from the steep clime out of the gorge does it even out and end up in a paddock?
