Evening,
A question for all you auto sparkies and wannabes out there in ORE land.
Situation
My daily driver is an 05 Mazda Tribute, it has steering audio controls from factory. I recently installed a Philips car audio double DIN touchscreen unit. It has inputs for these controls and can "learn" the functions.
Question
Is it as simple as connecting the input leads on the back of the unit into the loom?
Or do I need one of the specialist adapted leads with a control box?
The installation instructions are vague at best. I have googled the crap out of this and have yet to find a simple answer...
Any help appreciated.

Yeah you need to identify the steering wheel control wires on the car and connect them to the ones on the radio then go into settings and learn the buttons.
You shouldn't need any interface for a double din Phillips radio
