WTB - Exhaust Manifold for Nissan TD27

Post by Wacked »

Looking to upgrade my wheezy N/A TD27 to a turbo and need an exhaust manifold.

Would like to find one from a newer turbo'd TD27 or QD32. I live in the States so parts are rare/non-existant and need to be sourced over-seas.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mexico... nissan assembles navaras for the south american market there. That would be your closest market for a turbo set up. ... but i dont think it would be much more t build a manifold for it and buy a tubo to suit.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.

I have a second hand manifold over here but tbh mate once you pay for the shipping cost it's probably more affordable to get one fabbed up or surely Ebay have something?

Thanks for the South American/Mexico lead!

The Old Man is vacationing in Belize in Feb., maybe he can chase down a manifold and Bosch VE pump with a compensator at a wrecker. These are the 2 items I'd like to source outside of the States.

Can I weld a manifold up ...... yea ..... but I'll probably have enough headaches with this turbo project that if one is already made up, that's a bit less hassle to sort through. Looking forward to the challenge but realize I'm a bit less than a "shade tree" mechanic with no diesel experience.

For the turbo, would like to use one off a Subaru WRX as they are easily available and appear to have volume and pressure appropriate to the TD27. For the intercooler, I really like that water cooled unit someone on this site had in their Rover - didn't know there was such a thing. Seems there is a lot of room in the front passenger side of the Navara to tuck in this type of intercooler.

Will probably start collecting parts and then get after it in Mar./Apr.

Thanks again for your input

Mate I have a manifold I can send ya, Just PM me.

No worries getting it to the states.

At a guess - be NZD50 for the manifold, and 150NZD shipping. so NZD200 all up comes to 135ish USD

I just took it off my truck, and fit an intercooler, see here;
