LN130 seats

Post by rich455 »

I have been posting quite abit lately and my project is slowly coming along, but I was wondering as I am getting cert for the different engine, body lift and tyres why not add some seats into the mix aswell. So my questions are...

Does anyone know what bucket seats fit into an ln130 surf?

I have heard wrx rails are pretty much bolt up except for one bolt per side, but does anyone know what generation wrx rails suit? Or does it not matter?

Is there any other rails/seat combinations I should have a look at?

Good morning,
I heard the WRX ones bolt straight in....so I guess you would need to try before you buy.
I have fitted some from a R32 Skyline into my LN107 Hilux D/C.
The only mod was the rear inner mount. Because that was modded my WOF guy asked me to use the original seat belt anchor point that comes off the tunnel.
The reason being that the skyline seat belt receiver is mounted to the seat, so all the loading in an incident comes onto those mounts.
Certainly worth doing, I dont get a sore back after a days driving anymore, the drivers side has a few knobs to adjust the seat position also so that is a big advantage also. 8)

Hope that helps,

Paul.

No problem, the drivers side has some adjustments also that make the 4wd journey much more comfortable
