Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
Having trouble finding a centre link for my 95 Sierra. Are the Sierras the same chassis as the samurais?
Re: Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
See if you can post a photo of it and I'll tell you what model it is.
Re: Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
Do you mean a picture of the part or whole car
Re: Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
Here's the Sierra
Re: Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
Being a 95 and leaf sprung it is the same as a samurai .
What do you mean by centre link?

Re: Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
I believe it's called the centre link. It's the bar tha ties the front wheels together the tie rods attach to it and so does the drag link. I could be wrong
Re: Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
The tie rod joins the 2 wheels together and the drag link goes from the steering box (pitman arm) to the tie rod .
The rod ends ( ball joints ) on either end of the tie rod are replaceable . Only a bent tie rod or a worn out balljoint where the drag link attaches would require replacement of the entire tie rod.

Re: Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
Yea it's bent like a horse shoe so was hoping to find a 2nd hand one
Re: Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
Yup red rocks
Re: Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
As UBZ said that is the same as a samurai, the chassis code is SJ70 to save any confusion as there is another model of samurai that is coil sprung and quite a bit different.
Re: Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
Any suggestions as to where I might be able to buy the part new
Re: Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
Unlikely to get a new one, as much as I hate to say it your best bet may be mudbits in Tauranga.
Re: Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
Yea I've tried them no luck. Suzuki said they could get them in but budget atleast 500$ what do people think about this http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/301740704780
Re: Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
Can you get it pressed straight-ish and then get it sleeved with a section of tube to strengthen it
Re: Looking for a centre link for a 95 sierra
I thought about putting it on my old mans press and trying to straighten it but it looks to be bent up but also backwards into the diff
