I am struggling with the delivery of a cargo carrier to fit the hitch and I don't want to go (yet) with the roof rack so I took a look at the trailer... before to realize that it will be cheaper to change the jeep for a bigger one

Is there any regulation in NZ to make a trailer a legal trailer... because these "out of the box" are quite pricey ...

it has to be "safe' and have lights, a safety chain
and no unsafe fittings .
