Hey guys
Im looking to upgrade my LN106 and looking to replace it with possible a Navara (D40 - 2.5td)
I have been doing a bit of research on the net about them and seem to have a few issues that come with them
Does anybody here have one?
Any advice on what they are like and if they are infact reliable.
Mainly be a work vehicle and light offroading (beach access etc)
TIA

Re: Nissan Navara D40 issues
Weve got a 2012 STX 4wd. Done 25,000kms in 6 months.
Only had 1 problem which was an EGR sensor, fixed free of charge in 10mins while I watched.
We love it, drives nice, plenty of power. Goes fairly well on the beach.
Just clicked over 100,000.
Just watch out for the older 2006 model, I think this is where alot of the issues came from.

Re: Nissan Navara D40 issues
Depends on the k's it has done, once past 200,000 they start to need big money spent on them to keep them reliable.
Re: Nissan Navara D40 issues
Not all of them.. I know of one with around 300kms on the clock. Its never had an issue.
I have noticed a pattern though... STX's dont seem to get the problems as much. STX built in Spain, the rest built in Thailand.

Re: Nissan Navara D40 issues
ive got an 07, goes well, just small issues on mine ,window switches, bent tailgate overloaded, no key hole in door so had more keys cut and coded x2 = $800, engines require more expensive oil.

2010 stx 4x4 auto
Mechanicly excellent. Ergonomicly not so good. Make VERY sure the seat is comfortable and is set to correct height. I am tall and can't get seat low enough. I was planning to change the seat , but it turned out to be an airbag model and impractical(to expensive) to change.
