Windows to work on ACC

Post by dvk-kp »

Hi guys, I've got a 94 Mitsi Pajero and I want to make my Windows work with they key in Acc. At the moment they work with the key in the on position.

Any ideas? Is it as easy as putting acc power to a wire in the master switch in the drivers door or would I have to do it for each window?

Thanks

Probably a matter of finding the fuse and instead of its feed from the on position, change it to the feed which is acc.

Cool cheers. Sounds easy.

Will that just be a signal for the Windows to work or will the power source need to be grunty enough to power the Windows? Maybe use a relay or something?

Thanks

it'll be a relay from memory, just change the trigger wire to work from the acc position

Would the trigger wire be found in the master switch in the drivers door?

no its the power supply from the main fuse box, it will be switched via a relay when the ignition is in the ON position. it will be behind the speaker by your right knee under the dash, next to the door lock relay

you want to change the wire to turn the relay on when the key is in the ACC position so it will only be a small 16 guage wire as apposed to the heavier 8 guage wire used to carry the power to the actual power windows
