Went for another drive over most of the route the Araimu Safari will be taking. I have lived close by all my life and was very surprised at how high it is in there and how much land is in there. Some very steep climbs and great views over the city, Hunua Ranges , west to the coast and even a little way south. Some of the route is reasonably challenging and there will be a large play area for those who want to have a bit of a challenge. Very little road driving. We will also be driving into the top of Stevensons Quarry. That is one big hole. Local historians will be providing information on the local area and the locals will be providing a great farm style lunch. You may need to do a bit of a walk if you are trying to lose weight.

Taken a lot of fast talking and negotiation to get into this area and crossing a lot of properties. Unlikely that we will be a able to repeat the trip any time soon so get your entries in while there are still places left.

Still a few places left. Just had an extra property added so less than 3Km of on road driving in the morning then back at the start point for lunch. different direction in the afternoon.
Everything looking good for a great day out, and not far from home for many of us..
