WTD: Range Rover Rostyle steel rims

Post by Wired1 »

These look good on a 110 so I'm after a set of five or any other quantity I can get. Close to Nelson/South Island would be nice.

Pending on what you believe on the net, they weren't weight rated for the 110's, only the 90s and classic rangies.

Does this mean they aren't "a suitable rim for the use intended" under LVVTA..... was looking at cutting the centers out and fitting them to a set of 15x10" rim hoops, I also like that old school look but want to run a wider tyre and with cert manufactures recommendations are law so need a 9" wide rim or wider to run a 12" wide tyre

as long as you don't load it past the factory load ratings of a range rover I can't see any problem?

I had a set of these which I flipped the centres on to increase offset. The centres are rolled so a flat surface sits against the inside of the rim and it's then riveted or spot welded. If you reduced the diameter you would have to cut off the flat part significantly reducing the strength. I guess a continuous weld would still work though... On the plus side - they are not lightweight rims - there is plenty of steel in them.

Still looking, I've seen them on a 110 and they are a nice fit if you like the retro look. I'll buy singles or pairs or any odd quantity...
