Calling all qd32 gurus

Post by oljamesyboy »

So i have a 97 r50 terrano running the qd32 with all the eletronic crap.

It has a fault code that comes up evey so often some times couple times a month then might not come on for a few months. Every place that scan it can't tell me what it is as the code dose not come up with anything in there scan tools.

The code is 27 ecm1

So after talking to Nissan about it they sent me this picture can anyone explain what i should be looking for/at as nissan wernt exactly usefull with out spending a small foutune getting them to do it.

replace the ECCS relay, maybe fualty and with viabrations from engine and running could be creating a voltage drop issue for the ecu...this also supplies the power to the fuel stop solenoid on the pump and if it is getting voltage drop may partialy close of the valve creating fuel starve and rough running

aslong as you dont get codes 18 or 22 it wont be a major....

18 and 22 is the ecu/electronic feed back for the needle lift mechanism which is the achilles heel of these things and when it starts getting expensive

quick diagnosis is if its an automatic the nuetral/park start relay is right next to it and is the same part number, the next time it happens stop and switch the two relays and see what happens

Knew i could trust off road express to point me in the right direction. I am quite faimiler with the non electronic qds and td27s. All these electronics drive me nuts.

The light only ocasinaly comes on and idle gets rough when it does so sounds like the relay is a good place to start looking.

Thanks all
