Good Day ,
I am pretty new to NZ and would like to know if there are any places that I can do like a mild off road drive in West Auckland? Just looking for a scenic drive.

Try Muriwai beach accessed via Wilsons Rd South Head. Pretty tame trail around lake through low bush, mostly sand base. Suggest you pick your day and go on to beach at low tide.

Not alot of options in Auckland
There is an actual road in west auckland called scenic drive
You could go for a drive to whatipu scenic views heading out there and few good lookouts on the way it is a road though so it's car friendly.
You could go to 4wd park in woodhill do some of the easier trails
Or drive muriwai beach but think you need permit nowadays which you get through the council

hey freak on a leash... im a native westie lol... i have a nissan terrano r50 pretty much stock... so nothing to extreme or extreme tracks as its my daily!!! but im very interested in doing a light bit of 4wding either up muriwai beach or some light tracks through wood hill forest... if your interested throw me a message cheers
