Just needing some ideas on what I can explore about this problem.
Toyota 100 series 1HD-FTE. Installed a 3inch xForce exhaust. Idles bit rough at 600-650 rpm.
Exhaust is not touching any part of the chassis or anything. Have also checked engine mounts and they're still fine.
At the moment I've turned the idle up to 700rpm. But I want to turn the idle back to factory settings as it occasionally throws the engine light on.
What other things I can do to try solve this annoying rough idle?
At the moment I spoke to my mechanic and he suggested putting in a longer flexi joint. But no guarantees that it will solve it or make it worse.
I'm also thinking about exhaust vibration dampeners but have no idea how to pin-point where to put it.
Any other ideas for me to explore?
