terrano fuel flow problem need help

Hi I have an old and up til now faithful d21 Nissan Terrano that I have happily run on SVO (straight vege oil) for nearly 8 years. Apsrt from blocked filters its never had a problem.......till now. Was driving it with regular oil on board and the power just died away....thought ok new filter. Fitted it ran it for 2 or 3 k's all good went home next day no start. Cracked open the injectors at the head and no oil is getting thru. Primed it up nice and hard cranked it and no joy. Starting to think injector pump finally died???? Now Im pretty handy with the tools but Im no injector pump expert, so Im hoping for some inspiration before I decide to write the old beast off and start looking for a new old car to run into the ground. What I have done is follow the fuel line to the top of the injector and crack the banjo fitting that delivers diesel/oil into the pump ...all wet if I use the primer pump on top of the filter I get fuel coming out of the banjo, so it getting to the pump. Its a zexel copy of a Bosche so its pretty tuff. On the other side of the pump are the four fuel lines that go to the injectors, I have disconnected them and used the filter primer pump again no fuel comes out of the injector pump at all......dry as a bone. Thought about oil gumming up the insides but its never happened before. So fuel is arriving at the pump but not exiting it ........ any advice? Its an old girl but its never been a drama and its done a lot of trips and I must admit to feeling a bit low at the thought of its demise......any help or opinions would be gratefully recieved. cheers

Few things to check.

Fuel stop solenoid is working. Jump it to positive post of battery..... Should here an audiable "click"

Replace fuel line from filter to pump with clear line and also return from pump to return line on guard ...crank and check for air bubbles.

Quite possible th detergent in normal diesel fuel may have dilodge d sediment from lines and pump and blocked injectors.

Check fuel in the tank... What colour is it.....if its anything by what you would expect quite possible the shaft seal t front of pump has perished.

Fuel stop solenoid is interesting ..... where is it on the pump and also if it is stopping fuel flow can it be bypassed or made stay open somehow

Pulled fuel stop solenoid out ran a current thru it and it works fine, checked wire to it and its getting 12volts when key is on start. bugger

Refitted the fuel stop solenoid without the plunger so I could totally discount it. cranked her over no fuel flow out of pump.

any fuel coming out the return fuel pipe when you crank?

i can't remember if those had the mesh filter in the fuel inlet.
but vege oil/ bio diesel can gum up pumps. have some pics of a VE which was stuffed due to it.

No mesh screen in inlet side have not checked the return line .... could you explain your reason for asking about the return line? Im wondering if the pump is done. cheers for opinion

see if its actually going through the pump or simply not injecting.

Yes mesh not there been removed

Ok thanks for getting back to me , If I get fuel going thru return line what and not the fuel lines to the injectors what does this signify.

So far I have undone banjo fitting on top of pump and pushed primer pump and fuel comes out. Removed the stop solenoid and pushed primer pump and fuel bubbles out of solenoid hole. Replaced solenoid without plunger to eliminate the solenoid have removed steel fuel injector lines from back of pump the pumped primer pump and no fuel ah exited the injector pump. Replace fuel lines to pump cracked the connection at the injector pumped primer pump on filter once again no fuel leaking out. Have also done this with engine cranking over no difference.
