Hi, I've got a rolled KZJ71 (short wheel base). Manual 1kz engine. Loads of good bits, but cab has been written off. Mechanically still good. Depends what you want it for. Cheers

Hey 4x4Mac, I'm keen on a few odds and ends for my kzj71 if your parting it out??

Just small stuff that probably gets thrown out:

The motor from the washer bottle that goes beside the battery (headlight washer bottle motor)
Plastic vent grill beside the rear seats
Speedo/gauge cluster assembly

If ya heading down that route with the truck, let me know and I'll PM you.

I have contacted the seller and he told me he's got some people coming to look at it this weekend and will get back to me after this if it doesn't sell.
Surely there is more of these trucks out there for sale???????? one with slightly lower kms would be amazing?

I've decided they must all have been scrapped, the 2.4's all did cylinder heads early on or generally just lunched themselves and weren't worth the expense of paying a work shop to fix/rebuild.

The 1kz suffered the same deal, used for towing and heavy work as the motor pumped out the horses, but head issues and other associated expensive failures ment a fair few probably just got scrapped as a result.

Otherwise, everyone is just hanging onto them cause there's nothing new to replace them with. Everything other than a Nissan or a Land Rover is IFS, soft and needs to much work to be even average as an all rounder/daily/weekend warrior

Just refrain from doing jumps if you get the straight axle rig
TOYOTA - The Official Vehicle of ISIS!
And makers of the '92 Camry, where you got your first backseat handjob.

You get an interesting pattern on the inside of the diff casing when the crown wheel touches it :-)

Gotta have patience. One will pop up one day, usually a day or two after you've gone out and got something else.
