With low pressure keep the drum dia small. That way you keep the torque requirements less. That will give more pulling power with lower psi ratings.
Thats opposite my set up with 2500psi constant and peeks of 2800/3000.

Na narrow and wide. Deep drums allow the rope to bite down under the base loose rope binding it up. More so when doing a short hard winch.
Wide drums allows rope to spread out along the lenght keeping the total wrap number down.
You are going to mid mount it so a long lead in to the winch drum will allow nice level winding of the rope. My set up is around 700mm and i find it a bit short. If i kept the rear over hang it would of allowed over 1m and it would of made a big differance. Target less than 4 wraps. This way you will be generally only winching over 1 may two wraps.

Re: pto hydro pump
That sounds fair. Use whats there.
Also i would be looking at the 75lpm pump as when winching and driving rpm does increase a bit.
Also at a guess better psi as a bonus

Re: pto hydro pump
what was the winch last used for?
as a narrow deep drum sort of implies volume and speed verse pulling strength
just a thought....
