2WD steering Mod hitting Sway Bar
So I have put in the 2WD steering mod into my 91 4x4 Datsun Ute but on full lock the steering arm is hitting the sway bar. I am sure I read someone had the same issue but I couldn't find it when doing a search. Its on axel stands at the moment but has anyone else had this problem or know what the solution is if there is one?

If you click on the photo it shows it the correct way up.
I looked at the thread above and the pics of the Terrano sway looks like it drops down off the bottom arm.
Maybe a Terrano one will fit my Navara?

In your photo, the suspension is at full extension, have you tried taking it off the jackstands, what's it like at ride height?Shaun wrote:If you click on the photo it shows it the correct way up.

I guess you could limit the extension with a bump stop, that angle is starting to look dangerous anyways.

Its ok at ride height. I still don't like the idea or knowing it touches, even if one side is jack up it hits but I guess its not going to effect me driving on the road so should be ok for now but would be nice to have just a little bit more clearance.

Re: 2WD steering Mod hitting Sway Bar
Might sound stupid but if your sway bar is symmetrical have you thought about flipping it so the curved piece from the chassis bush to the drop link curves down instead of up..... Might give you the clearance you seek.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.

Good Idea! I am away for a couple of weeks, so il have a look at it when I get back. I found a thread that someone was saying a Terrano one is thicker and bolts up to a Navara so I could give that a go as well. Im sure I read that the V6 had a thicker sway bar also.
