I have just picked up a Superwich x9 for the 110
Unfortunately it didn't come with the square nuts and mounting bolts
Can anyone tell me where I can source some rated square nuts / mounting bolts that are the correct size and fit for purpose ? General bolt supplier gave me a blank look
Cheers Chris

I guess you mean captive nuts... my first port of call would be Steelmasters (kiwi made) and failing that any engineering shop.

Re: Winch Square nuts
only reason they are square is to stop them turning.
ive welded a bit of flat bar to a std nut previously and that locked it in, worked mint

Back up the boat. You scored another 110? Awesome.
I hope you managed to hold onto the fruity bits off your old girl?
I am in the same boat s you re the winch nuts, if I can source some from engineers up here I'll let you know, unless you beat me to finding some.
What size/pitch bolts are you using?

I usually wedge a screw driver in to stop them moving, while using the rattle gunmudlva wrote:only reason they are square is to stop them turning.

Ditto. Just use a screwdriver on normal nuts as well, my square ones went a while ago.wjw wrote:I usually wedge a screw driver in to stop them moving, while using the rattle gunmudlva wrote:only reason they are square is to stop them turning.
