Is Cape Palliser to White Rock possible?

Hi, I know it's short notice but I have visitors and was planning on going to Cape Palliser tomorrow (Satruday 31 Dec 2016) and just realised a 4WD (Isuzu Bighorn) trek up to White Rock might be a nice off-road drive for them? Is this currently possible? Easy? Are gates locked? Thanks for any advice. Cheers.
