BJ74 13BT Vacuum Switch Valve - 24volt

Post by MikeL200 »

I'm looking for a replacement VSV for my 1989 BJ 74 MWB (13BT - 24 volt). Toyota says they are discontinued.
Any thoughts on a replacement or a work-around?
Prefer not to have cord hanging out of front grill to stop engine.
Part group is 17650.

I've run into this on my 12h-t, I got a vsv from the states for 2.95 and shipped it through Youshop. Other option is Aliexpress, the chinese still manafacture most of the vsv's for a fraction of Toyota's price.

Do they use Toyota part numbers or is it pick and pray?

You need the Toyota full part number, then you can be pretty sure it will work, ie:
