D21 Navara td27 n/a Power Issues!
Hey all, recently bought a d21 Navara with a blown clutch, I have replaced the clutch and it now drives and shifts real nice, but although I know it's slow and they usually are, I would have expected alot more torque out of it, but it really suffers on hills, I have so far given it a full service and also cleaned out the little filter in the injection pump, this has made a small difference in it feels free'r to rev but that's about it, has anyone else struck this? Because at the moment I doubt it will pull the skin off milk let alone tow a trailer up a hill with out hooking second and looking like a muppet, also for reference a Hyundai h100 with the 4d56 has plenty more torque at almost double the kms

Compression is down or injector timing needs dialing in closer to tdc

I drove a 2wd D21 N/a td27 for work and it wouldn't do 100k's into a strong headwind. Turbo conversion fixed that.

Spoke to several guys, apparently its about right for how its running, So... Ill look to get a Mistral or Terrano instead because, I cant live with this! haha
Re: D21 Navara td27 n/a Power Issues!
Chuck a turbo on it, easy as and you'll be pulling 100ks up hills easy
Re: D21 Navara td27 n/a Power Issues!
well make sure you take the mistral or terrano for a test drive, as the ones without intercoolers are a bit gutless too.
